Anthony Sherman
Cybersecurity Professional, Network Management Enthusiast, System Administrator, Web Development Hater
Hey there! I'm Anthony Sherman, a 21-year-old tech enthusiast with a deep passion for cybersecurity, system administration and network management. From managing my homelab to learning how to code, I thrive on solving complex problems and expanding my technical skillset.
Cybersecurity Professional
With a Security Plus certification, I have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and best practices. I’m passionate about network security, ethical hacking, and safeguarding applications from vulnerabilities. I also enjoy working on automation projects, such as setting up GitHub webhooks to automate deployments and monitor for potential issues before merging code to production. I am also learning about security integrations such as Crowdstrike.
Network Management & Home Lab Enthusiast
In my free time, I manage a home lab running Proxmox and TrueNAS, which allows me to explore various network management and virtualization technologies. This hands-on experience helps me better understand how to secure and manage complex networks. I’m always experimenting with new setups and tools to improve my understanding of infrastructure management and network security. I am currently looking to expand my homelab to include a dedicated firewall appliance as well as an introduction of VLANs into my homelab.
Web Developer & Problem Solver
I’ve been honing my skills in full-stack development, currently focusing on my website ShermanNetwork.ing, a portfolio, and trollgod.xyz, my personal lab to experiment with new things on the web. I’m dedicated to building secure and scalable applications, using technologies like Flask, Supabase, and OAuth integrations for Google and GitHub. I traditionally have hated web development but with the introduction of Flask, I have been able to not hate the process too much.
